Jason Chapman

Jason has studied for years with the modern masters of trumpet performance, as well as performing professionally for the past twenty five years all across the country.  Although performance is Jason's first musical love, he realizes and enjoys the fact that the future of music lies within passing it on to the younger generation.  Jason now takes all the knowledge and experience that he has acquired from all his classical, jazz, rock, and funk endeavors and offers it to his private students.

The N.Y.S.S.M.A. (New York State School Music Association) Manual has been a model for music education associations and festivals all over the country, and Jason is well-versed in all the major trumpet literature on every level, and its requirements per level, jazz as well as classical.  Jason's students continually receive top ratings and evaluations at the N.Y.S.S.M.A. Solo & Small Ensemble Evaluation Festivals year after year.

Jason's newest and most passionate endeavor is the creation of "L.I.S.B.", or the "Long Island Student Brass Ensemble".

This is a group Jason has always dreamed of forming and directing. Comprised of dedicated young brass students from all over Long Island, the group meets bi-weekly to rehearse many styles of music.

Still in its infancy, the group anticipates annual concerts, appearances with special guests, and "field trips" to experience the greatest brass players New York has to offer.

L.I.S.B.E. is ALWAYS open to new members!!!
